To all you 4xxx series owners, those that have had problems and those that have not, that have patiently responded to my questions I just want to make it perfectly clear that I hope you have a problem free tractor. I really would like for Deere to succeed with this line. The features that they offer are really nice. My only comment is that the number of posts indicating problems with axles, transmissions, dash-fogging,pto failure, brakes sticking has caused me to step back. I wish that the Kubota 2910 had the features that I like on the Deere, then the decision would be easy. I 'm going to wait and see what owners like Mike S posts on his 4400 owners board before I make a decision. Hopefully, the mechanical difficulties were isolated instances and these Deere problems will soon go away. Im ready with my checkbook.

David, have you taken these concerns to your Deere dealer? It would be interesting how they react, you might have all your questions answered and a new tractor. Any quality dealer will tell you how those problems have been solved and how they will deal with any future problems you might have. Good luck! ....
